INTRODUCTION
My name is Diana, I am 21 years old, and I work with comic, illustration and character design.

I build narrative worlds, design expressive characters, and draw single-frame and multi-page comics.

In my practice, visual storytelling always begins with showing a personality, an awkward habit, or an existential question that makes a fictional character feel alive.

CASE 01 / IN SEARCH OF MYSELF
Problem & idea: How do you turn a universal human struggle — finding your place in life — into an ironic comic story? The project explores identity through grotesque superhero archetypes.

Original size 2388x1343

Solution & result: I created a contrasting ensemble in which silhouettes and a color palette are immediately readable on the screen. The result is a cohesive cast of characters ready for a comic book series.

CASE 02 / LIGHTS! CAMERA! ACTION!
Problem & idea: Imagine a world where our entire reality is a sitcom with unchanging actors, repetitive gags from episode to episode, and canned laughter coming from nowhere. The narrative challenge was to show two perspectives at once: the insignificance of the unlucky actors and the burden of the creator controlling their fate.

Solution & result: The muted palette and scale contrast turn an existential question into a clear, readable visual metaphor. To visualize control and helplessness on the cover, I used a filmstrip metaphor wrapping around monochrome button-eyed dolls held by a giant director above a miniature town.

CASE 03 / GOING OFF-SCRIPT
Problem & idea: How difficult does making a sitcom become when your fictional characters gain self-awareness, start reflecting, and refuse to follow the plot written for them? The screenwriter certainly never expected to face this problem while working on his very first independent project.

Solution & result: I solved the collision between two realities on the cover through tilted perspectives and framing: the giant observer peers down into a cardboard-like room where the small protagonist reaches up toward the painted sky. This dramatic angle guides the viewer’s eye and breaks the fourth wall without a single word.

CASE 04 / SAME OLD RELATIVES
Problem, approach & result: How do you pack a relatable family story into a single frame? In this series of single-panel comics on the theme of «Everyday Life», I used bold graphic symbolism and ironic visual punchlines. Each frame works as a self-contained micro-story that captures familiar family dynamics in one glance.
