The photo project «after party» is a collection of images that express a feeling of melancholy and anxiety after the end of a colourful and joyful celebration. It illustrates the emotional state that can occur after a party has ended, when fun and happiness are replaced by emptiness, depression, dark thoughts, and a desperate desire to return to cheerfulness and anticipation.

After the party is over, when only faded flowers and leftover pieces of cake on plates remain, thoughts of anxiety and melancholy creep into our minds. At this moment, we realise that fun and joy are temporary and fleeting, and reality has returned to its usual dull form.
Realising that time has passed too quickly, responsibilities and problems engulf us once again, and the celebratory atmosphere crashes against the difficulties of everyday life.

Melancholy comes from a sense of emptiness and loss. We feel a kind of sadness, nostalgia for moments gone by, and at the same time, we feel uncertainty and fear about the future. The shabby walls symbolise the fade of brightness and beauty, mirroring our emotional state.
Joyful moments are only momentary illusions; beneath the surface of bright colours and happy smiles hides reality with its challenges and doubts.
After all, these worries and sadness after the end of the party can help us appreciate every moment of the present and keep looking forward to new happy times, even though we know they’ll end eventually.
