Elizabethan Children’s Hospice is a free medical and social care institution that provides support, medical assistance, psychological care, and spiritual aid to terminally ill children. Their families also receive assistance—not only during a child’s illness but also after the loss of a loved one.
Care comes in many forms. Sometimes it’s a hug, sometimes it’s a thoughtful conversation, the chance to rest, or the opportunity to dream together.
Challenge To create a vibrant, friendly, and delicate visual language that is accessible to both children and adults.Instead of relying on conventional accessibility icons, we propose using characters that convey important values through emotion, personality, and interaction.
Concept
Care comes in many forms.
Four characters embody different ways of showing attention: hugging, listening, bringing calm, and inspiring fantasy. Each has its own personality, but together they create a unified world where you can be yourself.

Obnimashkin embodies closeness, warmth, and support—qualities that don’t always require words.Podushkin «Can we take it slower?» Soft, cozy, and unhurried. Podushkin reminds us that everyone sometimes needs rest, tranquility, and the freedom to move at their own pace.Fantazyor «What if?» A curious hero with limitless imagination. He invites play, invention, and the discovery of small wonders in everyday life.Slushatel «I hear you» His large ears symbolize sincere attention. Slushatel knows how to be present, not interrupt, and accept any emotion without judgment.
Additional stylistic elements
Clay makes the idea of softness tangible. Rounded forms, marks of hand-sculpting, and vivid textures create a sense of warmth and sincerity.

Bright colors, unusual silhouettes, and expressive details make the characters recognizable. Each character possesses its own distinct personality, yet a unified clay aesthetic binds them into a cohesive visual system.

The characters help convey care without excessive seriousness or drama. They create a friendly atmosphere where different emotions, individuality, and simple acts of kindness can thrive.
