Hederlez

For my project, I chose Khederlez—a traditional Gagauz festival celebrating the arrival of spring, the awakening of nature, and the unity of the people. Since childhood, I have awaited it with particular reverence; it always seemed magical and fairy-tale-like to me. Through vibrant characters, dances, equestrian competitions, music, and festivities, I am conveying not reality itself, but my childhood memories—the joy, the movement, and the sense of wonder.
