The Faculty of Physical Sciences is a structural unit of the M. V. Lomonosov MGU. This is where applied and fundamental research is being carried out in all modern fields of physics.

The design of the identics is based on a grid based on a geometric representation of the Chernkov-Valiv effect. This effect is important in the context of the history of the Faculty of Physical Sciences, as its justification led to the first Nobel Prize: Igor Tamm, Ilya Frank, and Pavel Cerenkov in 1958. However, the grid is not used literally — the style is based on arrows that represent the sequence and logic of physical processes.

The logo is the two letters «F» — the abbreviation of the physical faculty.
The grid inside the style is used quite flexibly: sometimes it is used to represent sequences, sometimes for infographics, and in some cases parts become details of shapes and icons.

The style of communication uses a friendly tone of voice. The phrases are chosen in such a way that they are understood by both applicants and students and employees. In other words, the expression must remain understandable even if the person does not know its context. The work used the traditional phrases of physicists, which passed through many generations of students, but were almost never used in official branding.
