Bertolt Brecht’s parabolic play The Good Person of Szechwan (Der gute Mensch von Sezuan) is one of the most striking examples of his theory of epic theater. The main city of the province of Sichuan, standing for all the places on the globe, and any historical period when people exploit each other, form the background for the events of the play. Conceptually the project is a series of books for the premiere of performances based on the plays by chosen writers. The design is executed in black ink for drawing and calligraphy.
